What We Believe
We believe all the Saints have gifts from one or more of the God head and should be
mobilized in their gifts and callings, which requires mentoring.
New Beginnings School of the Spirit was founded by Donald and Karah Young in 1994
with the Bible mandate of Ephesians 4:11-16.
“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists,
and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of
ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the
faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure
of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children,
tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery
of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in
love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head — Christ — from whom
the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according
to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of
the body for the edifying of itself in love.”
To comply with this mandate, we seek to always remember that we are here to serve the
Master’s household of faith with timely spiritual food. This is the focus around which every
aspect of the ministry revolves.
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will
also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he
who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow
weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who
are of the household of faith.” Galatians 6:7-10
We believe in the full operation of:
The Gifts of the Father
"Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given us, let us use
them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us
use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in
exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who
shows mercy, with cheerfulness." Romans 12:6-8
The Gifts of the Son
As five fold ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, our goal is to:
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that
I command you." To build up, train, and equip the saints for the work of the
service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain the unity of
the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the
measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. As a result, we
are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about
by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful
scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into
Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and
held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of
each individual part, causes growth of the body for the building up of itself in
love." Matthew 28:19-20; Ephesians 4:11-16
The Gifts of God the Holy Spirit
"The word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, gifts of healing, the working
of miracles, prophesy, discerning of spirits, tongues, interpretation of tongues" I
Corinthians 12:8-11
